I took small Wei Qun (围裙) to the hospital to do a B-scan, it seems the hospital got a clearer B-scan machine, as the doctors were examining they said: Look, this is the head, this is the small heart, the small stomach. I just saw a big blur, I couldn't work out what was what. Anyway, the result of the examination was that the baby kitten was developing normally and that it had already developed fully. I felt as though a weight was lifted off my shoulders. As they say, it must be born one of these days, wishing on the stars, wishing on the moon ... otherwise I won't have peace of mind, I get anxious just leaving the house. Tonight I went to watch Mamma Mia 《妈妈咪呀》, I was late, I was leaving in a hurry, forgetting this and that. It was easy to get to but I was 15 minutes late, it's pretty good, the actress who played the mother sang really well. With a theatre as badly-preserved as that, there was something wrong with the acoustics ... this kind of American musical really seems as though they're partying with the audience. The music was good, collectively the dancers danced easily and they created a happy atmosphere. What was sad was, their voices were drowned by the two of the pieces of vocal music. At the end, when they returned to the stage for the happy finale, the accompaniment was even more lively and the chorus sounded even better, the audience almost jumped up with them.

Wei Qun does nothing but sleep every day, addicted to lying on my felt. Wei Qun miaows around, smelling here and there, as if she's looking for something. The last few times she was like this, I thought she was going to give birth, blindly stressing over her for ages, with nothing happening at the end everytime. My great aunt, what are you trying to do ... there're always people advising me to have kids but just this one kitten has already got me pacing up and down in anxiety, rushing on and confusing myself, if it was a child ... Heavens, worry, worry.

I haven't thought of the new year as a major thing for many years, just as something when everyone takes holidays. On the other hand, the roads are tranquil like many times before. Beijing really is a city with a large floating population.

I filmed in the mountains with a lot of hard work, for a person like me who doesn't like working, doesn't like being dirty and doesn't like to be tired, it's a kind of life I haven't had for a long time. The best thing about it is that it feels more and more like when I was spending a quite time at home. The sky above and the ground below. My new home's bedroom has been painted greenish black and at first I wanted to paint the ceiling the same. When we saw the thing, everyone unanimously disliked it. I can't bare to even change it. Mostly because I'm too lazy to trouble them again.

People already have enough troubles, old people die in bed, wars don't stop. We all say having one more problem is worse than having one less one but there are some people who just add to the troubles.

Recently, from out of nowhere there're new clumsy rats. For example, the new so-called 'entertaining spirits', in the middle of these kind of people, there's a part that's really interesting, a fly that just wants to spoil a pot of soup. I feel that they're jumping and hopping acting more and more shamefully. I don't know whoever's brain which has water in, to make them donate money to support their publicity. Before, shame was kind of fashionable and it needed to be announced. Our service industry's development really pays attention to everything.

This kind of person, really needs some backbone, acting shy and being parasites to other people who look famous. They will just rely on whoever has the most news recently. People who are full of energy and easily excited wouldn't be annoyed enough, they're a bit impatient. I've heard they've already found a shameless follower's detailed address. Might as well go up and give them a good beating. I'll say the negatives, he'll be happy that you hit him, they'd go up and down the streets with a loudspeaker shouting: Extra! Extra! Who, who hit me? Hitting me so hard that I have a bloody nose and bruised face and making me scared out of my wits!

Isn't this the result they want to achieve, let's not fufill their wishes. They just want us to point fingers and say names, without a chance. I still don't believe it, that you can just go along like this and have your name reach heaven. I just see a lot of people quarreling where they were once happy. Changing a hate story into one of flowers, now, noone lies low and keeps silent anymore. Gentlemen are guaranteed to leave these kind of people far, far away. Non-gentlemen will become rotten with them. The clumsy comedian also isn't a new noun, this world never lacks any. And if we don't see each other how far will we go, there're lots of ways to get food, I need to quickly turn over a new leaf.

Sleep late or get up early, it seems the biological clock adjusts itself really quickly. The beginning of the new year, shouting and clamouring and shaking fists. I've hidden myself behind these characters having fun, cursing, doing what I like, being cold. If it isn't pleasing to the eye, then say a few words for protection. Sometimes you think: why is this brother so angry? Why has he got so much to say …… so, I've seen the actual person, a pretty good person. Always lending money to people, people don't return it but he's too embarrassed to ask for it. Embarrassed when meeting a stranger. These kind of people, don't have too many friends —— transparent on the surface, easy to be familiar with, too embarrassed to even open their mouths. Among the people that I know there are two typical characters like that, Lao Wang (老王), Xiao Han (小韩). There're some areas where they're very similar, people have agreed on what I've said. If there're people who don't agree, can come and tell me a reason.

There's another kind of mild temperament person, they pose big (posing is not good for your future, this will protect people and offend people, posing is not popular now, I thought it wasn't fair but before they invent a more suitable word for this I'll temporarily order people to obey to get used to these words in the language.)

I've gone off the track, let's get to the point. There's another kind: fake mild temperament people, it's obvious you can hear them typing away on their small calculators, it's obvious they have interest and go for charm, squeeze whichever persimmon is the most soft. As soon as they see 'the VIP', wine isn't even enough to strengthen their weak guts. They still pretend to be good and moreover have an honest and frank personality. I've said so much about being a good person, are they good at acting, do good people or bad people act better? Is it still important? …… in Dream 《梦想》 there's a line: who doesn't pretend, who doesn't? they would've already knocked his brains out, in society you have to pretend and pretend to make any progress. I didn't imagine the temperature would be as mild as this, walk for a bit and you'll be sweating all over. Like Peach's (水蜜桃) report that it would sometimes be like this. Miss Peach said her ideals finally look like they can be reached, it's lucky she's thinking like this, otherwise we'll start arguing as if we're enemies.

Two girls falling out with each other because of one guy isn't a worth it. Love changes many many times over a short period, friendship lasts for a long time. How can so many people not understand this. After you get caught up deluding yourself that you're being ignored, you can't escape. It's a really immature way of thinking. A small first-grader, if they aren't hit they'll just jump higher.

Of course there are around eighty people rebelling, angry because they're confused, and they don't know who said it, don't make yourself angry, it's not worth it.

But then, the world isn't fair and we can't do anything about it. Why try to dig into this unsolvable problem.

At the foot of the mountain, in my little room, without a view of the sunset, I can only feel that there's some sunlight left, right now this blog will have a brief moment of rest. I can rest my brain for ten minutes, my head isn't so painful any more. In my heart, this flaunting isn't enough, I still need to look for more ways. This is just me.

I don't plan to use this brief period of rest to sleep, when there're a lot of people I always feel sleepy, when it gets quiet I feel like in a daze. Talking nonsense on my blog is also a really good way to rest, the times when it's peaceful are really valuable. I haven't written in a long time although I have a lot of things to talk about, it seems as if my blog is slowly coming back.

Jet Li (李连杰) recently made a charity fund, when he was filming a show he asked me to support him and publicise it on my blog, I gave it a chance and listened to it from start to finish, it's definitely a really good thing. I will very quickly write full instructions on this blog about how to donate to the fund. He's assistant has already sent the information to my mailbox. The easiest way is to simply use a mobile to send 1 or 2 to 999309 and this will succesfully donate one or two RMB to his fund, the amount's small but the more people there are the stronger the fund will be. Isn't there a song lyric that goes: It only takes people to give a little love to change the world to a happy place for mankind.

Certain friends of this blog advised me to talk more about current affairs. But my leader instructed me a long time ago, talk less about government affairs, evaluate other people less. The work of judging the winners finished yesterday, there was almost no disputes over the big awards, on the other hand, there were non-stop arguments over the small awards. My colleagues on the judging committee are really likeable, they judged objectively and really showed how they followed the principles of the awards. Even as they got flushed as they argued one film over another, that didn't affect our personal relationships with each other. My work's finished, the shops have all closed too, the European work hours are really short. During a week they only spend about 3 whole days at work and at noon they have a really long afternoon lap. On Sunday, apart from the restaurant, everything's closed. I really don't know how their economy managed to develop.

The prices in Greece are relatively cheap, I've heard it said that this is due to Europe being the fourth kind of quality. On the first day they got here, Yi Bai Xiong (一白兄) and Xiao Wu Xian (小伍贤) walked all the way and only decided to take a taxi after they had both caught a cold. They later found out it only cost 20 RMB. They both left yesterday, it feels lonely all of a sudden.

I really miss my small kittens, my mum says that they're all fine, Wei Qun (围裙) gets naughtier everyday, Wei Bo Er (围脖儿) everyday plays the part of an experienced cat, giving special favour like a bullied little thing. I want to go home, home, home.

You get what you wish for, a few days ago I said I liked City of God (上帝之城), when I got here I met one of the directors of the film, she's also one of the members on the judging committee this time, a beautiful blonde girl. She looks a bit like Jodie Foster (朱迪福斯特), we really enjoyed talking to each other and we agreed to make a film together. I've journeyed for 25 hours 10 minutes now, going via Doha, Athens, finally arriving in Greece's second biggest city, Thessaloniki (萨洛尼克), as soon as I got to my hotel I went to wash and rinse myself, one hour later the film festival opening cermony started.

Before, two of the people who were doing the same thing as me found out at the airport that their visa wasn't enough and went back home. Unexpectedly, there are people as confused as I am. When people sympathesize they feel gratified inside, the thing that's the most pity is that they struggled to follow their plan all for nothing.

The first stop is Doha, you need to stay for about 8 hours before you can transfer flights, we three girls just went and strolled round the main streets, we encountered a private Arabian driver who followed us poor young people in a small sports car, on the other hand he didn't necessarily come to annoy us, it's just that he continuously went pass us, he was ogling at us. At that time it was 7 or 8 o'clock in the morning, this guy was seriously boring.

We were a bit scared, I heard that Arabian men don't treat women well …… in my heart, I'm scared if one of them will take us three girls to be sold off. She took the photos she's taken, put them in a photo frame and brought them for the charity sale. When I see her, I often think about myself. That year, if I got what I wished for and passed the exams for the Fine Arts school, I'd be pretty much like her, that's why I feel close to her.

This is an extremely cute girl, she laughs like a small idiot （why haven't I been able to find the photo of her looking like a small idiot, let me keep looking）, when she's not laughing, she always seems to be thinking something and staring into the distance. She's very much like me in terms of that —— I don't mean to boast, I just want to show a few facts, that's all ……

Very soon, the managers will take her film-produced work to be sold for charity and take it to the back of the fresh flowers village (鲜花村) shop. Please, everyone pay attention to it.

All this is the reason why I feel like filming my own soap opera.

Although I just opened my eyes to say two words, Wei BoEr quickly forgot what I put him through earlier, he looked please and ran onto my bed to play with me, really obediant.

This morning, as soon as I woke up at daybreak I got a communication from this woman at the office, indicating I really must mend my ways. I'm reading a book right now, it was just an average book being sold in Hong Kong airport, the cover was one of those really sensational ones: Behind the mask《面具后面的……》making me partly believing and partly doubtful —— another of those overcorrecting books on historical characters. Bad biographies are all like this, especially if it's a politician, it seems that if they aren't angels then they're devils, as a rule these these things shouldn't be believed, what angels and devils, people are only people, nothing more, there're strengths and there're weaknesses. These kind of extreme assessments are really blindly exaggerated. It isn't very persuasive. In comparison, I like reading autobiographies much more, those are real lies, at least it's the author himself who wants to be like a model, we always follow our own hopes and expectations to get along, so comparing it to reality is interesting.

Although, not believing doesn't mean I won't read any more, I'll just read it like an idiot, you say it like this and I'll listen like this, let's have fun.

Anyway, after I had my small friend Wei BoEr I felt like I was really living with my own family, the family often has a flower as a part of it; and my little sister peach often goes back home to her husband's family, and she often does both difficult and simple exercises. Despite when I see her I act like I don't want to ……, but she still gives me support …… I really do act strangely …… hehehe ……

There's a friend, I won't bring up her name, as a result of the stupid accident while she was working, acting like it was something serious, but even here I'll give her some support, in terms of eating well and staying warm, since I act as if I have free will, anything can be thrown away ……

I went for a trip to Hang Zhou, Miss Bo and me found four things that we had lost: my watch and glasses, Miss Bo's boarding ticket and identity card, the former were in a room in hotel, the latter were found in the airport lounge under someone's bottom, they were found one after the other.

Anyway, finding again what you lost is always a good thing, compared to that time in winter when I lost my cloak outside, I walked and walked and lost my purse just like that, at the airport I turned my eyes away for an instant and unusually my sunglasses disappeared. The overcoat and so on sounds a bit better.

How can I go outside without worrying?

My home's starting to feel cold, I must turn on the electric heater now. Winter is coming again.

I haven't watched a film for ages, I've been watching American sitcoms non-stop, one season after another. Up till now, I've written in my blog for a whole year, 365 days. It's high-density, even I admire it highly, there're probably around 200 articles now. I've had a lot of times where I felt I couldn't stop even though I wanted to, even if it was nonsense I wanted to talk about it, in reality there were many times I thought of not writing any more, at most after a day I'd decide to give up the idea. Afterwards I'd be staring at the blank page not knowing what to write. And then I'd write even more than usual, anyway if I want to be chatty then I will be, who knows anyway, nine times out of ten after I've finished being wordy my mind would be at ease and I'd feel comfortable.

《梦想照进现实》
——一篇迟到的导演阐述

电影已经拍完将近半年了，现在写阐述几乎成了回顾。

即使是导演了两个电影，仍不知导演阐述该是怎样的写法。

去年的年末，和编剧王朔商定拍一个小成本的电影，对话体——一个导演和一个女演员在剧组的一夜，女演员不想接着演正在拍的电视剧了，来找导演摊牌。

戏中女演员这个角色和我有很多相似之处，大概四五年前，我经历过这样一段时间——对现状不满意，看自己不顺眼，看所有的人和事都觉得没意思，不了解自己想做什么，也什么都不想做。

我想每个人的生活中都会经历这样的时刻：突然有迷路的感觉，回头看，向前看，找不到生活的意义，怀疑自己所有的东西，不愿意再作任何违心的事情。《梦想照进现实》对我来说，既是一个回顾，也是一个展望。因为生活总是周而复始重复很多同样的心情，我不想用错误这个词，因为所谓错误都是相对而言的，放眼看自己的一生的时候，其实没有对错之分。四五年前，我对只是做女演员的生活感到厌倦，开始做导演，一切都进行的很顺利，然而，四五年后，现在，从前的感觉又一次回来了，并不比上一次来的轻浅。

王朔是我一直以来最喜爱和敬重的作家，这个电影也可以说是我和他的一次对话。本来看完剧本我想说服他来拍，因为这个剧本中表达的很多东西，是我现在无法了解和体会的，他拍会更合适些。但被他拒绝了，他这几年来只愿意在家写作，不想参与到与很多人一起合作的工作当中去，而且告诉我，可以按照自己的意思任意修改和删除他原剧本的内容。那么好，还是我来拍。

应该说这是个很难拍的电影，几乎只有一个场景，两个演员，从头到尾都是对话。没拍之前，我和演导演的那个男演员韩童生先生对了四天词，用三台摄像机记录下来然后粗剪了一遍，主要目的是想看一下对话的整体节奏，便于将来拍摄的时候调整，因为这次我们只有十六天的拍摄时间，到了现场细磨戏的时间非常少。然后是机位和光的设计，要在有限的空间里制造一些微妙的不同，之所以说微妙，是因为我一向并不喜欢电影中有很明显的设计感，这是个人的趣味决定的，可能在某一天我会拍一个镜头形式感很强的电影，但前三部不会考虑。

每次拍完一个电影，我自己都很难说满意还是不满意，只能说，我尽力了，在特定的时间内，把我能够理解的一些东西尽力的拍了出来。一定要说的话，我对自己拍的三个电影没有一个满意过，即使得奖，得了几个奖，有一些人夸，也没有使我自己觉得满意。鉴于本人一向眼高手低，看片子总是很挑剔，看自己的作品也是如此，总是觉得还有更好的方法，更好的表达方式，但是自己的能力还没能达到，因此，大多数时候都处于对自己无能的沮丧之中。

这个电影是对与我相关的一些心情，生活的一次探讨，又有很多理解、感受已经超出了我所能理解到的感受，拍这样的电影，我想，是一件奢侈而艰难的事情。

好了，电影不是说出来的，每个观众看了自会有自己的理解，其实，已经与我无关。我这个阐述谈不上是什么阐述，也只是一些心情罢了。

Wei BoEr (围脖儿) was originally a very small lazy cat, after he got to know his surroundings, he does nothing but eat and sleep. And, he's even learnt to jump on to the sofa and start dozing. From the moment he came, he's been sneezing. Yesterday, I finally went to the pharmacy and bought him a syringe. I stirred some Amoxicillin with warm water and sucked it into the syringe. Then I took off the needle and fed it through his mouth, he seems to be a bit better, I haven't come across him sneezing any more at night.

Yesterday the juicy peach (水蜜桃) couple came to see Wei BoEr, conveniently bringing their family's button (扣子) to make friends with Wei BoEr. When the two first saw each other, they were naturally unfamiliar, after a long time gazing at each other, like a couple of cat sculptures and after continuing for a long time, their small paws seemed to reach out in a Yi Bai style (一百) and bit by bit they each shifted backwards. Afterwards, they each seperately went to hide to hide in the two corners of the room. It was nothing like the way we imagined them to be friendly to each other. He's definitely still shy with strangers, I reckon that it'll be ok when then they come a few more times.

Button (a detailed account of the juicy peach's blog), which can't be more than a year old now, the story goes that from a month old when he was adopted by the peach's family, he hasn't seen anyone of the same species. Since he's been taken to new surroundings again, he's a bit nervous. he's a bit taller than Wei BoEr, he has a nose —— my family's Wei BoEr has a very small, mini nose, Button's facial features are easy to tell. He likes to let the peach family's little girl hold him, this made me a little bit jealous. Wei BoEr hates me holding him, as soon as I hold him he blindly struggles. Apart from the day when he just arrived, on the way back home, it's probably because the position in which I held him wasn't too comfortable. His most loving time is when he lies with his stomach on me or he lies with his back on me letting me play with his fur. During that, this small guy slowly closes his eyes and has an extremely comfortable expression. His loveable silliness is incomparable. And I just follow looking pretty.

Gone through two days of what felt like training, Wei BoEr (围脖儿) is familiar with me by now, he's very happy when he sees me. When I go to bed in the evenings, he runs under my bed and calls out 'HuLu HuLu' for me to play with him.

Hastily finished visiting the building materials city (建材城), I went again to the place my friend introduced me, which is a place that just takes care of cats. I carried homea young four-month old Garfield cat (加菲猫). Giving him a name, round the neck (围脖儿). This photo was taken in his old home, an hour later, he started his new life.

围脖儿 is very unused to his new home, always hiding in the corners and not coming out, being shy with strangers ……

Seeing his heavyhearted expression in his eyes, my heart can't bear it for more than ten minutes.

A holiday is a holiday, ah. I looked at a round of blogs, none of them have any updates, before I didn't think of making an update either. But seeing how everyone is not writing, I'll take the role of the hardworking honeybee for now.

This is my first time watching F1 at the event, the noise of the racecars shook the outside stands so much that they said Song XiaoNing (宋小宁) schoolmate almost puked. On the other hand, I was in a big glass room and watching it made me almost puke, from a very small distance watching 10-something cars being driven at a speed of 300km/h flying past. My eyes focusing mechanisms went through a harsh test. I reached a conclusion, watching TV is still better. But Schumacher (舒马赫) as expected, started late but caught up and won again, fierce.

Finally, in Shanghai I got to eat those delicious meat stuffed buns again. My Shanghai schoolmate this time liked my choices. Though, the bun's skin was a bit thick. Next time, I'll be take more notice of it.

Yesterday, on the plane from Shanghai to Beijing, I again heard a certain person was enjoying the missing news. I was very much in a bad mood and really wanted to shout. Celebrating a big festival, is it possible to have something fresh. Seeing words as if on the surface, hurry and come out.

Seeing the messages left, people want to know which American serial I'm watching, the answer is: The O.C. . Only watching it now?? Mmm, yes, lately I've been falling behind the times. I've been unlucky always having an 'optimistic person' giving advice.

By translating other blogs. I'm going to focus on 老徐 (Lao Xu) since her blog is incredibly popular and contains a nice variety of idioms and constructs. Sound fun? So here is my attempt at today's entry.

日记 [2006年09月30日]

I've known about Mr Gao Li Dai's (高利贷) big name for a while, I've finally met him. Originally it was to thank him for some matter. It became a type of popular lesson on business loans. Pity we three girls all have long hair, listening to it felt like 'high mountains covered with fog'. Talking to you people takes a lot of effort. Mr Gao Li Dai saw we were bored and uninterested 'like tweezers that just won't open' and finally when it was on the edge of crumbling, he was forced to start from the bottom 'from zero' and continued using farmland and digging for coal as comparisons. Now do you understand? Yes, yes, yes, we understand. Although, we still didn't understand. Too embarassed to admit it.

Last night I watched a good film, directed by Lǚ Re (吕乐), the story of a middle school student. The few actors are all 16-17, all acting for the first time, all acting well. I heard it was in the Tokyo film festival. I secretly believe it will be the best film in the near future. The story is adapted from the book by Da Cao (大草) , knives and knives 《刀子和刀子》. I heard Bo Xue (博学) talk about it long ago and she recommended it to the director.
